Pi Day: 3.14.15

Pi Day at Lauretta Jean's

Pi Day happens to be one of our favorite holidays, and this year is going to be the most epic Pi Day of them all!

Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3.14), as these are the first three digits of Pi. However, this year Pi Day falls on 3.14.15, which happens to be the first five digits of Pi. This is a once in a lifetime event, people!

That being said, come on down to our Division shop and celebrate Pie Day with us! We will have pie, and lots of it. We'll have all of the pies on our current winter menu - including our Lemon Beach Pie with a Saltine Crust and our Key Lime Pie -  as well as a few special pies we'll be baking just for Pi Day.

In honor of the day, we'll have a spiked cherry lemonade available for just $3.14 a glass. So come on down to our Division shop, grab a cocktail and a slice of pie and celebrate Pi Day in style. We'll be open from 9am to 11pm, with plenty of pie for all.

Thanksgiving Pies!

 

November is upon us, which means it's almost Thanksgiving Time!!! Lauretta Jean's in now taking Thanksgiving pie orders, and will be taking orders until Sunday, November 23rd. Below is a list of pies available to order for your Thanksgiving table!

*Heirloom Apple: A variety of Old World apples, rum, cider, and vanilla beans. *Honey Hazelnut: Sweet, salty, nutty, crispy. Custard-style pie. *Salted Georgia Pecan: Toasted Georgia pecans, whiskey, molasses, and Maldon salt. *Classic Pumpkin, topped with freshly whipped bourbon whipped cream. *Black Raspberry Streusel: Sweet berries, brown sugar crumble top. *Cream Pies: Chocolate or Coconut

We are also offering our famous Buttermilk Biscuits, one dozen for $25. Available Thursday (Thanksgiving) only for ultimate freshness.

Two Year Anniversary at Division!

Lauretta Jean's Introduces Happy Hour Pie Slices

Happy hour at Lauretta Jean's just got a little bit happier. For the past year, our SE Division shop has offered happy hour deals on cocktails, house wine, and pints of beer.

In addition to our happy hour beverage specials, however, we are now offering happy hour pie slices! Every day from 5-7pm, all pie slices will be available for only $3.50 a slice! (Happy hour is only available at our shop on SE Division St.)

So, come one, come all! We're pretty excited about our new happy hour pie slices (and you should be too!).

Lemon Bars, Brownies, and Nanaimo Bars, Oh My.

Here at Lauretta Jean's, we make a a lot of delicious pies. We love pie. But, in addition to our wonderful selection of handmade pies, we also make a whole bunch of tasty baked goods: brownies, bars, cookies, and other treats.

Since we talk about pie (a lot), we thought it was time to shine a light on our lesser known baked goods, such as our Lemon Bars, Nanaimo Bars, and Sea Salt Brownies.

Take, for example, the Nanaimo Bar. The base of this bar is made with chocolate, coconut, almonds, and graham cracker crumbs. The center is a layer of cream filling, and the bar is topped with a layer of chocolate ganache. It's creamy, decadent, and completely and totally delicious.

You can find these tasty treats at both our shops, as well as Water Avenue Coffee in southeast industrial and Kenilworth Coffee on Gladstone.

Rhubarb is Here.

Here at Lauretta Jean's, we get really excited for spring and all that this season brings. We love being at the farmer's market, and stocking up on spring produce. We love spring greens, asparagus, raab, and sugar snap peas. But, most of all, we really love rhubarb. Throughout the season, we'll offer a number of different rhubarb pies and desserts. We'll have Rhubarb Streusel Pies, Strawberry Rhubarb Pies, and Blueberry Rhubarb Pies. In addition, we'll make Rhubarb Muffins, Rhubarb and Granola Parfaits, and whatever else strikes our fancy!

With rhubarb, the possibilities are endless (and delicious!), so be sure to stop into either one of our shops this month and check out the rhubarb selection!

Pies + Quiche for Easter

This year, bring a delicious quiche to your Easter brunch or grab a spring pie for the perfect Easter dessert! The following is a list of seasonal pies and quiche that will be available to order for your Easter gathering:

Celebrate Pi Day at Lauretta Jean's

Pi Day is this Friday, March 14th!  Join Lauretta Jean's for a special Pi Day celebration on Friday, March 14, 2014! Both of the Lauretta Jean's locations will be celebrating Pi Day on all day on Friday, and we're throwing a special Pi Day Party at our Division shop from 6-10PM.

In addition, we'll have happy hour all day at our Diivision shop, Pi/pie trivia every half hour, pie and cocktail specials for $3.14, and we will announce the next Dream Pie winner!
